Director: Guy Fergusson
Release Date: August 1956
The Harrow Observer, 7 January 1954, reported that the disused Stanmore Village Station ‘is the setting for most of a new Gaumont-British feature film which is now being shot.’ The report added that the writer and producer, Mr. Frank Wells, stated ‘We shot five minutes on Monday [4 January] – our first day, and the average studio manages a minute and a half.’ The same publication added, 21 January, ‘St. John’s, Stanmore, was used for the “marriage” scene in the film’. Despite these early filming dates there appears to be no record of the film being released until August 1956.
Johnathan Horwell’s British Railway Movie Database was most helpful with this entry.
