Reporting on filming the Kinematograph Weekly, 1 March 1951, noted that ‘The elasticity of the Ealing method is exemplified by the fact that last week the unit was using the exterior of the studios’ publicity block, suitably disguised, as the registered offices of a North Country mill.’ Unfortunately the scene isn’t identified. On 15 March the same journal added that studio work ‘was completed last week-end, and the unit is now rounding off the picture with night location sequences in parts of London.’ Unfortunately that’s all too vague.
