The Kensington Post, 8 July 1966, reported that ‘Filming started over the weekend in Kensington and Chelsea’ adding that ‘This week’s locations included interior scenes at La Popote in Walton Street and shooting around the Albert Memorial.’ The Evening News noted, 19 July, that ‘Film director Michael Winner fused the lights in part of Oxford-street while shooting new picture “The Jokers’ in Tiles the basement discotheque.’ The 10 September issue of London Life reported that recently in the Stock Exchange ‘director Michael Winner was busily erecting lights and cameras above the floor on the War Memorial Gallery’.
