On 7 June 1948 the Dundee Evening Telegraph noted that ‘When exterior scenes for “The Kite,” fourth story in “Quartet,” were filmed on Wimbledon Common, property-men had to plant trees and bushes to match up with the close-ups filmed in the studios.’
