An unseen film. Using the films’ title during production, Orders Are Orders, it was reported in The Era, 22 March 1933, that ‘the exterior barrack scenes will be taken at the Duke of York’s Barracks [Chelsea]’ adding that ‘the troops in the film are being furnished from the British Legion, 500 of whom have been drilling in preparation.’ On the 20 April Kinematograph Weekly noted that the title was now Orders Is Orders and that ‘the unit were favoured by the weather’ when filming at the barracks.
