A drunk Rupert Graves on Lambeth Bridge heading towards the south bank.

Graves is also indigent so he goes looking for shelter for the night in Southwark.

Franco Nero, at left, looks on as the man is murdered beneath Tower Bridge. With a cinematic sleight of hand Graves also sees the murder take place.

Outside the National Film Theatre, South Bank, Graves tells Graham Crowden of the murder. Crowden, a former reporter, but also a drunk and indigent, suggests going to the police.
