The Sunderland Echo, 17 August 1953, noted that Richard Attenborough had been spotted driving a taxi at Waterloo Station where he ‘was filming a scene for “Eight O’Clock Walk,” in which he plays a taxi driver arrested for murder.’ The scene must have been left on the cutting room floor.

As the tune 'Oranges and Lemons' plays the camera lingers on St. Clement Danes Church with the view east along Strand towards Fleet Street.
