In Spencer Tracy: a biography, by James Curtis, 2011, it’s noted that ‘Exteriors shot at the [Upper] Mall, Hammersmith, went so smoothly the company was in and out before most residents had a chance to notice.’ Curtis added that filming began on 9 June and was completed on 30 July 1948.
