The Rugby Advertiser, 12 June 1951, reported, not too helpfully, that ‘London’s docklands and other familiar backgrounds in the metropolis will provide authentic settings for the new Tempean Films production “Thirteen East Street,” which is now being made.’ The report continued that ‘The bulk of the action will be photographed against natural backgrounds including some exciting shots in a fur warehouse showing a raid by the gang during the nocturnal hours. Other real life settings will include Kensington Streets, Thames-side locales and a big lorry deport, all of which play an important part in the unfolding of the drama.’
