The ‘James Ivory Papers’, held at the University of Oregon, Eugene, indicate that London film location shooting began on 22 April 1991 at ’44 Lexington Street (2nd Floor)’ but there is no identification of the scene in question. Filming continued through April into May with scenes being shot, 14 June, at ‘Fulham Palace, Bishops Park Avenue’ but once again the scene is not identified. On 1 October filming took place at ‘TS Queen Mary, Victoria Embankment’, a scene which doesn’t appear to be in the completed film. Location shooting ended at St. Pancras Station on 2 October 1991.
